What we collect

• Account details: email, username, date of birth (to check the minimum age), and your email preferences.
• If you sign in with Google: your Google email and basic profile.
• Basic technical info needed to keep the service secure (like sign-in attempts).

Your notes and recordings

Your notes, flashcards, quizzes, chats and audio recordings are currently stored on your own device, not on our servers. Clearing your browser data or deleting your account removes them from that device.

How AI is used

• When you record, upload, paste text or ask Blob a question, that content is sent securely to AI providers (such as Google and OpenAI, via Lovable's AI service) to create transcripts, notes, cards, quizzes and answers.
• This content is processed only to give you the result. We do not use your study material to train AI models, and we don't sell your data.

Who processes your data

Our hosting and account provider (Lovable Cloud) and the AI providers above, only as needed to run the app.

Emails

We send account emails (confirmation, password reset). Study tips and updates are optional and can be turned off any time in your Account page.

Keeping and deleting data

We keep your account data until you delete your account. Deleting your account from the Account page permanently removes your account and profile, and wipes notes stored on that device.

Children

Study Blob is not for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.

Security

All traffic uses HTTPS, passwords are securely hashed (never stored in plain text), and sign-in is protected against brute-force attempts.
